There will also be fairground rides in New Square and charity stalls in the Market Place. There are good views of Derbyshire lowland agricultural scenery to the south and west. Click the link below to go to the walk.
CHESTERFIELD FEATURE It is the crooked spire, that does most to make Chesterfield famous and the first thing newcomers usually look for on arrival in the town. The spire to St Mary and All Saints C hurch, started its life straight, but is now 9 feet 5 inches out of line and leans a tiny bit further every year.
QUEEN'S PARK
Queen's Park at Chesterfield is considered by many well known authorities on the game to be one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world.
It appeared that after celebrating its centenary in 1998, that it would be permanently lost to County Cricket. Fortunately, Derbyshire returned in 2006, after Queen's Park underwent a £4.7m facelift.
